Annual Community Education Breakfast
NEW LOCATION ANNOUCEMENT FOR 2025!
SAME GREAT EVENT – NEW LOCATION – BIG CELEBRATIONS!
The breakfast event, which will take place at the Burge Union at the University of Kansas in 2025, provides an opportunity for local businesses and community members to demonstrate their support for public education.

KIDS EXPO - FREE EVENT
The Lawrence Schools Foundation is pleased to announce our
2nd Annual Kids Expo on Saturday, August 9th from 9:00am – 1:00 pm.
(ESC / District campus / Parking Lot & Inside Facility)
We have created an opportunity to invite local businesses and organizations to help us support and celebrate our Lawrence Public School students and families within our community. The event will include free screenings, educational opportunities, free shoes, haircuts and back to school supplies as well as prize drawings and free giveaways, food, entertainment and more!

Ovation! - 10th Annual Event
The Lawrence Schools Foundation and Lied Center of Kansas are proud to announce the 10th annual, district-wide talent show for middle and high school students on February 1, 2026 at 7 p.m. Past events have included dancers, contortionists, trapeze artists, instrumentalists, singers and more. Students participating in Ovation! will be selected through an audition process, and will share their amazing talents on the main stage of the Lied Center with full production.

Annual Back to School Douglas County School Supply Drive
In partnership with the Salvation Army, ECKAN, Eudora Public Schools & Foundation, Baldwin City Public Schools & Education Foundation, Lawrence Schools & Foundation and United Way of Kaw Valley invites your participation in the 2025 Douglas County Back2School supply drive. This collaboration gathers and organizes resources to help low-income students obtain required supplies for the 2025-26 school year. With your help, we aim to provide Douglas County children with the necessary tools so that they may succeed on the first day of school and beyond.
